My Week Off

 The good news is my main job is closed this week, and I don't see myself getting shifts at the 2nd job for the rest of August, or even September. I gave them availability way too late, and I am not sorry about it. My main job suffered, and it is hectic on the best of days. But I have it on the resume now, so hopefully I can get one more shift and print off a letter stating I worked for them. Wish I had thought of that my last shift... 

I caught what I hope is a wicked cold, but did go and get Covid tested - I went to one crowded event, didn't sleep well, went out the next day etc - so a lot of reasons for it to be Covid unfortunately. The symptoms are so similar - and I am double vaxxed. Sigh! Hopefully I am negative and I can enjoy the rest of my week off :( How is everyone otherwise?!

Getting Busy!

 GUYS! Ontario reopened, and my social calendar is going BONKERS! Seeing family, friends etc - is wonderful. Friends getting married, having babies, moving house, I am happy. My family is all doubled vaxxed and continuing to be as safe as we can but seeing each other. Work is busy during the week, but I am going to try and only work one extra day a  week. I am tired otherwise, and my regular job suffers. I am tired of feeling tired. I hope that we continue to be vaccinated, stay safe and hopefully everyone can get through this. But it does seem tough some days.

My Feet Hurt!!

 I did a screening shift today - 7 hours on my feet with insoles, ouch. I am t. ed, the six day work week is NOT my friend. I am hoping to cut down to 5 soon. I cannot function and my primary job is suffering in small ways, and I don't like that either. Otherwise, the extra $$ is good but just not feeling worth it. I know I complain a lot! I am struggling, lol. But otherwise, life is good and I need to remember that too. I hope I can get a good week off in August! *fingers crossed*

3.  What was your first blog about and why did you choose that subject/title? - oh man, just a little introductory blurb! nothing special, i cannot even remember, LOL.
 
4.  How has your blog changed over time, and has it done for you what you hoped it would do in the first place? - no changes yet, and i hoped to blog more (none of that either) LOL

Let's talk about entertainment, okay?

1. Do you have an actor or actress whose movies you hate to miss? - I love Emily Blunt. I used to love  Ewan McGregor BUT then he cheated on his wife so that put me off.

2. Is there a movie or TV program you could watch over and over again? - Omg, the Golden Girls!! Too funny. And Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. Also, Death in Paradise BUT only s1 and 2.

3. Do you have a list of books or magazines you are hoping to read over the summer? Would you share it with us?  Bonus: do you make a cuppa something or a snack when you read? - 

I am trying to read more, I am doing a reading power hour ever so often with a friend - any book welcome! Nothing in particular in mind. I love cookies etc when reading if possible 😁

4.  What kind of music do you enjoy listening to? - oh man, I love the Four Tops. So Motown, RnB, soca, 80s music etc etc. Music from mostly all genres! Love me some music. 

Blowing the Dust Off

 I am still here! I love reading everyone's blogs - I honestly thought I had blogged more recently! The wedding was so wonderful, everyone looked gorgeous. They even gave us food after - and I enjoyed the patio with my friends who I hadn't seen since early 2020!!! A truly great weekend. Work continues to be busy, more surgery dates, running after patients, deadlines etc. Scheduling my boss' work and life outside of work is complex, his wife is sick and has a lot of appointments. The part time job is draining, and while the staff I work directly with are always amazing, the supervisors are not very nice, sometimes downright rude. The money is needed, so I am going to keep trucking, but, meh. Lol!! Looking forward to some time off in August. 

Meanwhile, my entire family is double vaccinated maybe except for my baby sister. The kiddies cannot get anything yet, but us adults are taken care of. Cannot wait for a pedicure and haircut :)!!! Everyone stay safe and hydrated :)

First Pandemic Wedding!

 My friend is getting married this weekend, and because restrictions have eased up, I can go! I am so excited, EXCEPT, I feel chunky. And now all my clothes look ugly, ew. They aren't, I am just picky, haha. It's a church ceremony, so I have to dress appropriately -  the struggle is real! Is it bodysuit and skirt combo? Dress? Pants and top? I don't want to wear pants to the church so most likely not. Wish a girl luck, will get my eyebrows done Wednesday for the first time since 2020 !!!!
