Tuesday 4 - That's Entertainment!

That's Entertainment!

Let's talk about entertainment, okay?

1. Do you have an actor or actress whose movies you hate to miss? - I love Emily Blunt. I used to love  Ewan McGregor BUT then he cheated on his wife so that put me off.

2. Is there a movie or TV program you could watch over and over again? - Omg, the Golden Girls!! Too funny. And Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. Also, Death in Paradise BUT only s1 and 2.

3. Do you have a list of books or magazines you are hoping to read over the summer? Would you share it with us?  Bonus: do you make a cuppa something or a snack when you read? -

I am trying to read more, I am doing a reading power hour ever so often with a friend - any book welcome! Nothing in particular in mind. I love cookies etc when reading if possible 😁

4.  What kind of music do you enjoy listening to? - oh man, I love the Four Tops. So Motown, RnB, soca, 80s music etc etc. Music from mostly all genres! Love me some music.

Blowing the Dust Off

I am still here! I love reading everyone's blogs - I honestly thought I had blogged more recently! The wedding was so wonderful, everyone looked gorgeous. They even gave us food after - and I enjoyed the patio with my friends who I hadn't seen since early 2020!!! A truly great weekend. Work continues to be busy, more surgery dates, running after patients, deadlines etc. Scheduling my boss' work and life outside of work is complex, his wife is sick and has a lot of appointments. The part time job is draining, and while the staff I work directly with are always amazing, the supervisors are not very nice, sometimes downright rude. The money is needed, so I am going to keep trucking, but, meh. Lol!! Looking forward to some time off in August.

Meanwhile, my entire family is double vaccinated maybe except for my baby sister. The kiddies cannot get anything yet, but us adults are taken care of. Cannot wait for a pedicure and haircut :)!!! Everyone stay safe and hydrated :)

First Pandemic Wedding!

My friend is getting married this weekend, and because restrictions have eased up, I can go! I am so excited, EXCEPT, I feel chunky. And now all my clothes look ugly, ew. They aren't, I am just picky, haha. It's a church ceremony, so I have to dress appropriately -  the struggle is real! Is it bodysuit and skirt combo? Dress? Pants and top? I don't want to wear pants to the church so most likely not. Wish a girl luck, will get my eyebrows done Wednesday for the first time since 2020 !!!!

Tuesday 4 - An Evening Out

1. Do you enjoy an evening out?  It's been a while for most people. Do you have any plans made? -  I do, more so on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday (a Sunday is ok depending on the activity) No huge plans, just lots of work - maybe some food truck food this weekend if I don't work.

2. What kind of activities do you enjoy? A movie, a concert, dinner, plays, walks? Are you in the habit of going out regularly? Movies, concerts, dinners, plays, themed events - I love them all. I try and go out if someone else is keen - but it is tough as we're all working, my friends have kids, my sister will need a babysitter, etc etc etc. I love a good concert though.

3. Ever had an unusual  or very interesting evening you would like to tell us about or plans that went off the rails? - The plan did not go off the rails, BUT the a day or two before I saw Phil Collins in 2018 - I got rear ended !! I went to get Red Lobster, and as I was getting on the highway - smack! It was amazing that I felt fine, did the concert and had no health issues. I was grooving to Sussudio all the same. My ex though, when we were dating sometimes would have an emergency or have plans change and never tell me, or tell me super duper late - it was so embarrassing.

4. When you were dating what kinds of activities did you enjoy ? - LOL, I am still single so... I do like movies, but I would like to go to more events with guys - except I can barely stand making conversation now to see if we could even go on a date LOL. I liked going to Ripley's Aquarium as a date, so much to see and explore.

Belated Birthday!

My birthday just passed, and it was wonderful. Sushi, good laughs and relaxation. We are not open yet, but hopefully Toronto re-opens in a couple weeks? I picked up a shift yesterday - they have a shortage on as they have less vaccines, but they called me to fill in for someone and I said yes - why not make hay while the sun shines?

I have some vacation time in August, I think I may just not schedule myself for the other job and get a full week off - we are not eligible for vacation per se, but they said just give when you are available so... ;) We worked on cleaning out my mom's pool, hopefully it will be ready for the kids etc very soon. I have ordered a LOT of new clothes, so I need to stop shopping now, haha.

Tuesday 4 - The Best!!

 1.   What was the best thing you have ever bought?

Oh man, I once bought a BCBG jacket for $25USD, original price over $300!!!!!!  But most likely it is my car, because it really has gotten me all over and I am proud to have been able to buy it without any help from the bank of mom or dad!

2.   What was the best book you have ever read? - oh wow,  I have read so many ? But I guess the Harry Potter books are a big fav (even if JK is transphobic)

 3.   What is the best food you've ever eaten? - Chinese food OR Trini food hands downnnn, every single time.

4.   What was the best movie or TV series you've ever watched? - The Golden Girls, by far something I never get sick of watching!

Blowing Off the Dust (Again!)

It's been a while, ya'll. I am here, reading blogs! I just haven't posted. However, things have improved somewhat in my li!fe. ...
