Sometimes

Sometimes, I look up wedding dressess. And I think they are the most beautiful things. But I am pretty single, have been single for a couple of years now. And when I think about dating, I just get the heebie jeebies. But I'm in my 30s, and it gets to feeling so complicated to try and get to know someone again. I just think it'll all go left, and the last time I was so sad, I don't really know if I have it in me, you know?

That's why I was focusing on the job hunt so much more, and I plan to remind myself of just that - good job on the way now, hopefully. But sometimes, I just look at the dresses, and get a little bit sad.

No Tuesday Four

There is no Tuesday 4 today, as the author is helping out a family member. Sending love and thoughts. My sister has come down for a few days as her bf is away for work (he is a pilot) - so she and my catphew (cat nephew) are here. He is super shy, loves treats and cat nip! Not a huge snuggler though. In other news, my brother unfortunately found out he has contracted Covid19. He is feeling ok, making a lot of jokes and still working.

He, my SIL and my niece will quarantine until April 1 at least. I know everything will be ok, but this is the first family member to get it (that I know of) I got misty even typing it all out, I love my siblings (even though I can complain on about them) and my older brother is truly just the bees knees! There is nothing I cannot ask him. So, hopefully by April 1 they are all a ok! I hope everyone has a wonderful week.

Voila!

I finally got OR dates confirmed yesterday, and along with sending out the May schedule, I was exhausted! My boss is the only person who drives in their home, so every appointment means he needs to be away from work. I totally get it, but it frustrates me, because it creates issues within the office. He has 3/4 Wednesdays free, Monday afternoons, Thursday afternoons 2x a month free - but so many times we're having to interrupt the work schedule for outside stuff. A little frustrating. Meanwhile, he confirmed he is not retiring until 2023 - BUT this is fine, I needed to get moving on my plans anyway.

I keep hoping it will warm up so I can go on a WALK outside. I am too lazy to do it, even though I can easily bundle up. C'mon spring!!!

Fantastic Friday!!

I had to pop into work today, and I am glad I did. One of my patients was totally unprepared for her appointment today, and had to have it rescheduled for Monday. Another one was super grateful and even gave me a little card and gift. So unexpected. I am pretty sure I have a new part time job on deck!!! I would rather a full time one, but this a good thing to add to my resume - it's with a gov't organization helping with the vaccine clinics. Super stoked.

Meanwhile, it is warming up here just a bit - and I am sooooo glad. Ready to embrace the good weather, and with the part time job, more driving is required so I would rather drive when it is sunny. Meanwhile, my brother bought me a beautiful Android radio but I cannot find anyone to install it. I found one guy, but his energy made me anxious so I am going to let my brother try - and if not, the other guy can hopefully do it. My brother just wants to give it a whirl!

Happy Weekend!!

Tuesday 4 - Travel!

Lets talk about Travel... via http://tuesdaysplace.blogspot.com/

1. How far have you gone from home and where did you go?

I think the furthest I have ever gone is Germany and then Switzerland? It was my graduation gift from my mom (even though she said she would not be taking me to a resort like  I wanted) It was great, I loved it, and cannot wait to go back eventually!

2. Do you think the hassle of travel is worth the trouble? - If I made more $$, I would say yes. But for now, not so much. But I think in general, I would say yes because the world is too beautiful to not explore, you know?

3. Are there places you would like to visit or have plans for visiting? - So many places. I want to get back to Germany, see the UK, Ireland, Scottland (Shetland) etc. Hawaii is wonderful, and I want to see the Caribbean too!!

4. What trip was the best you've ever had? - My Germany trip is up there, going to St Maarten with my sister was awesome too. And all my trips home to Trinidad too! (I can never choose just one)

Phone Interviews / Tuesday 4

I snagged a phone interview for Thursday - during my workday! Hopefully there is no issue there ... I have been prepping all week, but today I just had a horrible day at work, ugh. But still, I am typing out some answers and stuff and making notes for the interview.

I am so tired today, but I am chugging along. I made a rum and coke, that always cheers a girl up. Hope everyone is having a good and relaxing week. I cannot wait until spring!

Oh man I am also hopping on the Tuesday 4 - via Anne in the Kitchen, who grabs it from Annie (Anne is on my sidebar)

In what part of the country is your current home located? North, South, East, West, Mid West,
coastal, rural, city, mountains or plains?

I am in Toronto, Ontario - big city, middle-ish of the country, south, close to a few ways to get into the US of A (pre covid)
.
Why did you choose your present home, and how long have you lived there?

I have lived here for 22 years (my parents bought it pre divorce, I have never moved out) - so it was chosen for me, I would've stayed in our old place with my friends close by BUT - my friends ended up moving closer as we got into university etc.

What do you like the most about your present home?

It is conveniently located - close to the highway, grocery, library, hospital, mall, most of my siblings and friends - could not ask for more.

If money were no object, is there anything you would change about your present home, or would you keep it just the way it is?

I would invest and tidy up for eventual resale - and hire folks to clean up the pool in the spring and the fall. My mom said she would build a little place over the garage (me not so much) and I would update the appliances (fridge, dryer, dishwasher) and cosmetic stuff. My mom did a lot of renos in the last decade as it is.

Blowing Off the Dust (Again!)

It's been a while, ya'll. I am here, reading blogs! I just haven't posted. However, things have improved somewhat in my li!fe. ...
